Since moving to Exmouth in 2014 I have always been impressed by this community and the help and assistance offered in so many ways by individuals to the community at large. The way that people look out for one another is inspiring. This, the Exmouth community, has inspired me to get involved and help where I can, it’s really as simple as that! So, to receive a nomination for the Auspire Community Citizen of the Year is very humbling. I follow in the wake of so many people who make this community so special.

Ambulance officers in Exmouth are all volunteers, there are no paid paramedics in town, and our SubCentre is run by a committee of volunteers. While, at times, it can be demanding, it is also immensely rewarding to be able to serve residents and visitors alike. We are humbled by this recognition of the service we provide."

The traditional Haunted House goes back many, many years here in town. So we are thankful for being part of such a strong tradition, specifically for this year, we reached out to the community for donations for our props to use in our Haunted House, and we had an outpouring of support. Many donations, many comments about how excited everyone was - and we look forward to scaring everyone next year!"
